PetSmart National Adoption Event, November 14 & 15
Join us at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC from 10:30a to 3:30p on Saturday and 12:30p to 4p on Sunday to meet and adopt available dogs, cats, and kittens from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at the event will be half off! Don’t miss this chance to adopt love!
Volunteer Orientation, Saturday, November 7, 10a – 11a
Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.

Monetary donations for the HSOG will be collected at the door and there will be a supply drive at the event for blankets,
Adoptable Dogs and Cats at Petsmart Saturday, October 31, 11a to 3p
The Humane Society of Greenwood will be at Petsmart in Greenwood, SC, Saturday from 11a to 3p with adoptable dogs from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Available pooches and kitties will be there for you to visit, play with, and adopt. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!

If dogs could be professional models, then Calvin would be a highly-paid superstar! With his striking slate blue-colored eyes and luxuriantly soft brindle fur, this 2-year-old Shepherd mix catches everyone’s attention. Although he resembles a Dutch Shepherd, his heritage is not 100% confirmed. What is known is that his DNA mixture has created a perfect pooch who is as sweet and silly as he is stunningly handsome.

What comes to mind when you hear “Pluto?” Chances are it’s either the once-planet or Disney’s well-known best friend of Mickey Mouse. Oddly enough, Pluto the Shepherd mix seems to have a little something in common with both namesakes. Much like the once-planet, at only 50 lbs, Pluto is not quite large enough to qualify for his breed type.
