Come meet him and you’ll see that he’s smart and silly, playful and prankish, and yes, he’s dignified too. Nacho is a Whippet mix friend in the making, he’s 10 months young and full of energy. He would be a great addition to a family with kids or adults who enjoy an active lifestyle he can share.

The Humane Society of Greenwood is offering vaccinations for dogs and cats on March 16. Appointments are not required, it’s first come, first serve. Bring cats in carriers and dogs on leashes.
Location: New Spay/Neuter Clinic, 241 Wilbanks Circle (behind Animal Shelter/Civic Center off Hwy 72/221 East).

He’s as perennially pleasing as the go-to jeans that share his name, with one defining difference — our 3-year-old American Staffordshire mix “Levi” loves you back — so much so that his exultant greeting includes dancing in circles at your feet, before presenting his back for a heavenly scratch. Levi was found stray but he’s so beautifully socialized he must have had a family;
Adoptable Dogs at Petsmart Saturday, February 23!
The Humane Society of Greenwood will be at Petsmart in Greenwood on February 23, from 10a to 2p with adoptable dogs from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. Levi, Glen, Skye (pictured), and Mabel will be on hand for you to meet. Available cats are always at the store for you to visit. We’ll see you there!

Come watch ‘Civic’ as she is returned back into the wild!!! A few months back, PAWS Wildlife Rehab took in a beautiful juvenile Red Tailed Hawk that was emaciated, had severe feather damage, and foot problems that prevented her from hunting properly. She is healthy, beautiful and ready for release!!

Fall under the gentle spell of our 2-year-old American Staffordshire mix “Magic” and your calmness will match her own; her tranquil demeanor’s catching, and her naturally obedient nature makes her a wholesomely charming companion. Magic was found stray, a resplendent black and white beauty with a small, statuesque build and a penchant for keeping her kennel clean.
