Calendars Available at BPW’s Holiday Showcase, Monday, October 28, 5:30p to 8:30p

We will be selling 2014 HOPE Calendars at Monday night’s Holiday Showcase at Piedmont Technical College’s James Medford Family Event Center located at 620 N. Emerald Road, Building N in Greenwood, SC. The event is held by the Business Professional Women’s Club to benefit the Greenwood Cancer Fund. Starbucks in Greenwood is holding a supply drive during the month of November to benefit the Humane Society of Greenwood. People who donate any of the following items will receive 10% off the purchase of a Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Upcoming Festival of Discovery and Your Pets

Greenwood’s gearing up for this weekend’s 13th Annual South Carolina Festival of Discovery (7/11 – 7/13). HSOG hopes everyone gets out and enjoys all the activities and entertainment. Since the July temperatures in South Carolina are typically very high and dangerous, HSOG strongly encourages people to leave their pets at home while they go out to enjoy the festivities.

Wellness Work For Kids

A group of young girls from Wellness Works for Kids stopped by yesterday with a delivery of donated dog food! The group of young girls, called “Girls and the Run,” chose the Humane Society as their community project. They were able to spend lots of quality time with HSOG Doggie Ambassador “Coolio,” who loved every minute of it.

Bruster’s Night For The Dogs!

Come out and enjoy the spring-like weather with the Humane Society of Greenwood at “Bring Your Dog to Bruster’s” Spirit Night. The event will be held at Bruster’s Ice Cream, located at 1204 Mathis Road in Greenwood, on Tuesday, May 14, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. All dogs will receive FREE doggie sundaes and 12% of all proceeds will go to the Humane Society of Greenwood.
