We will be at this year’s Festival of Flowers Arts & Craft Show Friday (6/20) and Saturday (6/21) from 10a to 6p. The event is being held at the James Medford Family Event Center on the Piedmont Technical College campus. Come visit with us and see photos of adoptable animals shown on the big screen in the Center.

Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.

Come to The Mill House, located at 237 Maxwell Avenue in Greenwood, and enjoy dog-themed beers, like Ellie’s Brown Ale, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the HSOG! Don’t forget to eat some of The Mill House’s wonderful food , too! Dogs are welcome on the patio and we will have adoptable dogs there for you to visit too.

This year’s Chili’s Annual Sizzlin’ Showdown Golf Tournament is Wednesday, June 4. Hole sponsorships are available for $50 each and your donation is tax-deductible. We had over 70 sponsors for last year’s tournament and each had fun with creating their own mini-billboard to honor, memorialize, thank or just promote.
