BJ (Blond Lab) and Bella (Jack Russell Terrier) were both adopted from the Humane Society of Greenwood by Al and K.C. Free. They are the featured dogs for January in the HOPE Calendar. The Frees had this to say,
BJ: “Our black lab, Buddy, became morbidly depressed after our Golden Retriever, Jake, passed away. When we looked down the aisle of kennels at the shelter, BJ looked at me with those khaki-colored eyes and right away I knew she was the one for Buddy and for us. What a difference she has made!”
Bella: “Our older dog, Katie, had become deaf and slept a lot. We were looking for a companion that would perk her up. WOW! Did we find the perfect pup in Bella … full of so much energy, love, and charisma. ‘Play’ is her middle name. She has changed all of our lives!”
