Pets of the Week – Week of August 31, 2015 (Bacon and NuNu)
Bacon
5-year-old Bacon sizzles with lots of life to live and lots of love to give. This Plott Hound mix needs plenty of room to run, roam, and sniff about to keep him happy. His personality and dark, beautiful, brindle coat are both indicators of his breeding, but it’s his medium-length hair and small ears that let us know that there’s something else in his heritage.
Pets of the Week – Week of August 24, 2015 (Paul and Mollie)
Paul
Paul is a handsome gentleman cat who, at 8 yrs of age, has reached the stage of his life that his activity preference is lounging. He is at the shelter because his owner was too ill to care for him and he has seemingly acclimated to the idea of enjoying the rest of his life in different surroundings.
Volunteer Orientation, Saturday, September 12th, 10a – 11a
Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.
Pets of the Week – Week of August 10, 2015 (Merlin and Rose)
Merlin
Merlin is a 1 year old American Pitbull Terrier mix, but don’t let his breed and solid build fool you. This guy is a total push-over. Like a marshmallow, Merlin is soft, squishy, and sweet. His short white coat and pink nose make him a standout in any crowd; however, these physical traits require him to be mostly an inside dog.

Pets of the Week – Week of July 13, 2015 (Darla and Regina)
Darla
Darla is a darling of a dog who loves all people. And her appreciation and desire for companionship is solely for people, not other dogs. At three-years-young, this hazel brown Retriever mix loves giving attention as much as receiving it and would be the perfect doggie BFF. She readily admits to being a toy hoarder and can spend hours alone playing with her amassed playthings.
Pets of the Week – Week of July 6th, 2015 (Blaze and Oscar)
Blaze
Blaze is a three-month-young, female Plott Hound and Spaniel mix and a literal burst of energy. She runs hard. She plays hard. She lives hard. Fortunately for her future family, she recently graduated from Camp Good Dog with full honors and has learned some of the “tricks” of being a mature, well-behaved doggie.

Pets of the Week – Week of June 29th, 2015 (Gilligan and Mimi)
Mimi
Alas, Mimi had a home, but where she was living didn’t allow cats. So to no fault of hers or her family’s, she was brought to the shelter in hopes that she could be rehomed. This 3-year-old short-haired Gray Tabby is on the slightly chunky side and, rather than being picked up,
