Midnight black Ella has both the brains and beauty that are hard to resist. At just under a year old, this German Shepherd and Border Collie mix is energetic, intelligent and the best of both breeds. The Humane Society of Greenwood and the Petco Foundation are celebrating October’s National Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter. During the month of October, dog adoption fees are reduced to $50. All dogs are vetted: spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
