Pets of the Week – Week of April 28, 2014 (Digger and Myrna)

Myrna
Myrna

Myrna

Folklore says a Torti cat, or “money cat” like Myrna brings good luck; indeed this lovely 3-year-old will pay you in purrs, post-haste — from her midnight coat threaded with bright coppery gold, to her polite social demeanor, her cozy head butts and always-tidy box, she’s a treasure trove of pleasantries. Myrna gets along fine with other cats, keeps herself fastidiously clean (shouldn’t copper highlights gleam?), weighs only 8 lbs., and is so gentle she even takes medicine without a fuss; she’d be a delightful choice for your kids and could thrive inside/outside or inside only. Let Myrna rub you with her precious-metal markings, and revel in her wealth of affection forever.

Digger
Digger

Digger

Handsome year-old Hound mix Digger embodies all the true-blue loyalty and even disposition that make his breed an excellent pet, but the only thing he’s hunting is a family with hearts as big and amiable as his. At 60 lbs. and grown Digger’s full of gentlemanly energy — he’ll sit for a treat, walk proudly on a leash and even bark once in a while (we’ve never heard him bay.) Learning commands is one of Digger’s favorite pastimes, but his most joyful pursuit is simply being next to you. Digger needs a nice yard for running, and could live happily outdoors with snug living quarters and plenty of affection, which he’ll never stop returning. Sniff out the lifelong companion you deserve, Digger will pledge you his soul and never look back.
