Lander University’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity held an Easter egg-themed fund raiser on March 21 that raised $250 to benefit the Humane Society of Greenwood. The event was called “eggerATOr” and, for a $1 donation, students and teachers were invited to throw eggs at the ATO fraternity brothers. HSOG staff and adoptable dogs were on hand at Lander for the event.
Palmetto Christian Academy’s National Honor Society Held a food and supply drive for the Greenwood Animal Shelter. 190 lbs of dog food and 52 lbs of canned cat food were donated, along with much needed cat litter and cleaning supplies. The students were thrilled to be able to donate this much to the shelter.
It’s fundraser night at Zaxby’s! Help raise money for the HSOG by eating at the local Greenwood Zaxby’s between 5p and 8p and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to HSOG. See flier for information.
When shopping at Petco, make a Tree of Hope donation at the cash register and you will get a paper ornament to personalize and display in the store. A portion of the donation proceeds will be given to selected charities. This year we are tremendously grateful to have been chosen as a participating organization!
We will be at Petsmart in Greenwood on December 15 & 16 from 11a to 4p to take your holiday pet portraits. Photo packages are $10.95 ($9.95 with PetPerks membership) and $5 from each package will be donated to the HSOG. Pet Parents will receive one 4″ x 6″ digital photo and an exclusive holiday collector frame.
Have Frame It Up, located at 140 Maxwell Avenue, frame and/or prepare a keepsake relating to your pets and $10 or 10% of gross proceeds (whichever is more) will be donated to The Humane Society of Greenwood. See flyer for more information!
We will be set-up near Chick Fil-A in the Greenwood Mall Friday and Saturday, November 23 & 24, selling HOPE Calendars. The calendars feature pets adopted from the Humane Society of Greenwood and photographed by local photographer jon o. holloway. They are available for $20 and 100% of the proceeds benefit HSOG.
BJ (Blond Lab) and Bella (Jack Russell Terrier) were both adopted from the Humane Society of Greenwood by Al and K.C. Free. They are the featured dogs for January in the HOPE Calendar. The Frees had this to say,
