Come out and enjoy the fall weather with the Humane Society of Greenwood at “Bring Your Dog to Bruster’s” Spirit Night. The event will be held at Bruster’s Ice Cream, located at 1204 Mathis Road in Greenwood, on Monday, September 24, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. All dogs will receive FREE doggie sundaes and 12% of all proceeds will go to the Humane Society of Greenwood.
The Humane Society of Greenwood will be at the Food Lion at 1605 Bypass 72 NE, Greenwood, SC on Saturday, September 15, from 10:00a to 2:00p to collect donations of needed supplies and to showcase some dogs available for adoption.
Both Food Lion locations in Greenwood are collecting food and supplies on behalf of our organization during the month of September.
Grab your family and friends and eat at the Greenwood, SC location of Ruby Tuesday on September 14 and 14. Be sure to take a copy of this flier and 20% of your meal’s proceeds will go to benefit the Humane Society of Greenwood!
Come out Saturday, September 8, to Petco in Greenwood, SC for their big Adopt-a-thon event. We will be there from 10a to 4p with adoptable dogs from the Greenwood County Animal Shelter and, of course, there are always available cats and kittens there, too! Petco has a lot of other exciting activities and attractions lined up,
Both Food Lion stores in Greenwood (SC) are having a food and supply drive for the Humane Society of Greenwood for the month of September. Look for the picture board display at each store for a wish list of items that we need for the animals. Imagine if everyone bought just one item on the list! Thank you and thank Food Lion!

Mayor Welborn Adams (2nd from right) joined Grand Harbor residents Bob Strazzella, Myles and Georgette Covert, Mary Ellen Neumann and more than a hundred other club members to “rock the rescues” at the second annual Animal House Toga Party benefiting the Humane Society of Greenwood. More than $11,000 was raised in support of the agency’s efforts on behalf of the area’s homeless animals.
The Humane Society of Greenwood was selected by the GMFCU Board of Directors to receive a donation of $2,500! The monies were collected during October through December last year through their “Skip A Payment” program.
