Important Information

In accordance with Governor McMaster’s guidelines, the Humane Society of Greenwood is closing to the public. None of the staff have currently tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. There has been a case of exposure. However, at this point in time, no staff are ill.

For any information on Covid-19, please follow CDC guidelines as to the precautions they suggest everyone take.

If you find a pet, you can file an online found pet report and visit the Missing Pet page to see if the pet matches one of those reported missing. Post a photo on social media to spread the word and help find its owner.

We will take ONLY unopened bags and cans of dog and cat food. Please leave them at the door.

HOW YOU CAN HELP THE ANIMALS: We currently have over 100 pets in our care at the shelter. If you have lost a pet, please contact the shelter at (864) 223-2498. If you are interested in fostering a pet, please email or call the number above.

Currently, there is no indication that pets can get sick from the COVID-19 virus. Research from around the world including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are studying this issue.
