Foster Information Workshop April 2nd, 11:30am

We now will be offering our Foster Information Workshop, every month following Volunteer Orientation. Quick, turnaround fostering will dramatically increase the number of lives saved at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter, but we need compassionate and capable people to open their home to an orphaned animal.

Volunteer Orientation, April 2nd 10am

Volunteer help at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter is vital for saving unwanted and abandoned animals in our community.

Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs,

Pets of the Week – Week of March 21st, 2016 (Bianca and Lucky)

​4-year-old Lucky is a male American Longhair who prefers quiet and calm surroundings. He’s a refined, gentleman cat who enjoys the companionship of adults and other felines who share his appreciation of the finer things in life, like classical music and Fancy Feast. ​A good scratch behind the ears and regular brushings of his plush coat are all he needs to keep looking dapper and handsome.

One-year-old Remi is a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Boxer mix whose facial flair is bound to catch your attention. The unique marbled blend of fawn brown, soot black, and powdered white on his face makes him genuinely one-of-a-kind. True to his Catahoula Leopard ancestry, Remi loves action and would enjoy someone who can play with him outside daily.

Wiggly Wimbley is an athletic, medium-sized Terrier mix. This ready-to-please pooch is part Casanova and part cartoon. He loves to give kisses to all visitors and romp around showing off his most amusing comedic antics. His short caramel brown coat, dappled with white on the chest, shimmers in the sunlight. This six-month-old puppy is already a social butterfly enjoying people of all ages and other pets.
