Wellness Works of Self Regional Healthcare held “Furry Friends of Fitness,” a fund raiser to benefit the Humane Society of Greenwood. During the January event members and staff donated 200 lbs. of dry food, 311 cans of wet food, 134 rolls of paper towels, plus blankets, toys, dish soap, laundry detergent, and other needed items.

Volunteer help is vital for helping save animals’ lives. Volunteers are needed to perform a variety of services, including kennel enrichment, socialization and dog walking, assist at community adoption events, fund raising, administrative tasks, helping with animal transport, bathing and grooming, providing basic training to dogs, general or spot cleaning kennels or sharing other skills.
