Pets of the Week – December 16, 2019 (Layla and Blizzard)

Layla

Layla

Layla’s huge, sincere smile is a reflection of her big personality. She’s a ball of delightful energy, and she’ll swoop in for all the attention she can get. She’s a two-and-a-half-year-old gray and white terrier mix with a very expressive face and ears that stand tall and proud whenever she’s happy or excited, which is basically ALL the time. Layla has become a staff and volunteer favorite as she’s proven herself eager to learn, whether it’s “sit” and “down” or how to walk nicely on a leash at the dog park. She absolutely adores toys, and she’s hoping her Christmas stocking will be full of them, although her most heartfelt wish is to find a home. Won’t you welcome Layla into yours?

Blizzard

Blizzard

Blizzard is a truly beautiful black-and-white tuxedo kitty with enormous golden-yellow eyes that radiate intelligence and just a touch of mischievousness, but that’s to be expected with any eight-month-old feline. She’s very personable and easy-going, accepting cuddles and scratches with good grace, but seeming just as content when left to her own devices. Blizzard is gentle, sweet, playful, and basically an all-around lovely cat. And she’d like nothing more than to make your holiday season the best one ever.

The adoption fees are generously sponsored by Debbie and Graham Smith for both featured pets through December 21, 2019. To see these and other available dogs and cats for adoption, visit the HSOG Adoption Center located at 2820 Airport Road, Tuesday through Saturday, 12p to 5p.
