How to Begin the Process of Adopting a Cat

  1. Complete a Cat Adoption Questionnaire. The information helps both you and us make sure that you adopt the pet that will be the best fit for your life. Completed questionnaires can be emailed to adoption@gwdhumanesociety.org, faxed to (864) 942-8680, or brought by the adoption office in person. Our Adoption Center is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm, and closed Wednesdays and Sundays.
  2. Verify that all current pets are up to date on vaccinations. Rabies verification is required at time of adoption.
  3. Check with your landlord to ensure you are able to have pets on the property. All pet deposits must be paid previous to the adoption.
