Pets of the Week – February 19, 2018 (Charlie and Gandalf)

Charlie

Charlie

Charlie will dance his way into your heart from the moment you meet him. A recent graduate of the Pawsitive Prison Program, this 3-year-old black-and-white terrier mix has proved just how intelligent and determined he is by learning 27 different commands, including “roll over,” “speak,” and ‘do a little dance.” Charlie has a charming, playful personality that will keep you laughing from sunup ‘til sundown. He’s a fun-loving “Petey lookalike” fellow with a huge grin and a whole lot of love to give. And he’s hoping to find a forever home with someone who will play with him when he’s feeling peppy but let him snuggle when it’s time to rest.

Gandalf

Charlie

Gandalf is a somewhat conservative character. A bit quiet at first, he comes around once he’s settled in and knows he can trust you, asking for gentle pats and scratches. He’s very sweet but seeks attention in his own time, and he prefers to sit next to you rather than be picked up and carried around. Gandalf likes stability and a calm atmosphere, but he does like to have a cat buddy with which to play and snuggle. At 8 months old, he’s very well-behaved when it comes to getting groomed, handling even an ear cleaning without fuss or complaint. And as the name Gandalf might suggest, he sports a rich grey coat. Visit this handsome kitty today.

The adoption fees are free for both featured pets through February 24, 2018. To see these and other available dogs and cats for adoption, visit the Greenwood County Animal Shelter at 235 Wilbanks Circle, Monday through Saturday, 11a to 4:30p.
