Camp Good Dog for Kids is a fun and exciting learning experience for kids between the ages of 8 and 12 who love animals and want to make a positive difference in a shelter dog’s life! Campers are paired with a shelter dog and a volunteer camp counselor to learn the basics of dog training, pet care, and how animal shelters work. Last year’s guest speakers included PAWS Animal Wildlife Sanctuary, Greyhound Crossroads, Animal Control, among others!

Camp dates for the 2017 summer session are June 5th – 16th, with graduation Saturday, June 17th. Camp sessions are held Monday through Friday 8:30a to 11:30a at the Greenwood County Animal Shelter located at 235 Wilbanks Circle in Greenwood, SC.

The $200 Camp fee includes Camp t-shirt, snacks/drinks, classroom materials, an album of camp photos, and graduation certificate.

Camp kids must be able to participate the full two weeks and attend graduation. Registration preference is given to first-time campers. To apply for Camp simply complete the registration form below. Camp Leader, Michael McCarthy, will be in touch regarding the status of your application and will provide information for payment if the application is accepted.
