Pets of the Week – Week of July 9, 2018 (Leon and Wylie)

Leon

Leon

When Leon looks at you with his big, soulful brown eyes, your heart will simply melt. This handsome 2-year-old, brown and white Shepherd mix is sweet, gentle, and loving, wanting nothing more than to spend time with his people. That can mean anything from running around the yard with his favorite toys to smoothing in for a few cuddles. He’s great with kids and doesn’t seem overly interested in cats. He does like canine companions, but he is selective, preferring females over other males. Leon recently had hip surgery and is recovering nicely. You’d never know it, though, as much as he loves to run, jump, and take long walks. Swing by the Adoption Center today to meet the lovable Leon.

Wylie

Wylie

Wylie could easily be the poster child for your typical kitten. He’s highly energetic, happily spending his time chasing and tossing his favorite toys in the air. Like most kittens, he’s very curious, cheerfully exploring his environment in search of new things with which to play and new places in which to nap once he’s worn himself out. Wylie is just under 4 months old, so he’s likely to remain high-spirited and fun-loving for some time. He’s also a very handsome boy, a brown and white Tabby with truly beautiful markings on his cute face. And he’s just as sweet and loving as he is playful and attractive. He’ll steal your heart when he comes for a snuggle, purring loudly to tell you how much he loves the attention.

The adoption fees are free for both featured pets through July 14, 2018. To see these and other available dogs and cats for adoption, visit the Greenwood County Animal Shelter at 235 Wilbanks Circle, Monday through Saturday, 11a to 4:30p.
